Prestigious Penn Relays 2007
Winning 17 Gold Watches
It was business as usual for The Executives when we met for our annual meeting at the prestigious Penn Relays. The meeting was call to order Thursday night with our agenda spelled out with specific objectives.
On Friday after continental breakfast and the usual enchiladas, we set out for what we thought would be a reachable goal Ė to win 20 gold watches -.
The Olympic Development Women 4x100m was impressive with Andria Smallwood, Mechelle Lewis, Courtney Clarke and Sharonda Arnold displaced the rest of the field winning 4 gold watches in 45.91s.
The Lady Executives came back later in The Olympic Development Women 4x400m relay with a team of Tacita Bass, Sharonda Arnold, Courtney Clarke and Inez Turner to win 4 more gold watches in a time of 3:40.54s.
Next on the agenda were the Menís relays. Of course, they had to follow the example set by the ladies. The Olympic Development Menís 4x100m of Kevin Logan, Trevon Lee, Timm Walls and Lee Prowell ran an exciting race to win 4 more gold watches in a time of 40.22s.
The Olympic Development Menís 4x400m with Adrian Findlay, Jamaal Torrence, Orville Taylor and Dwayne Barrett were phenomenal winning 4 more gold watches with a time of 3:09.54s.
Adrian Findlay had a major presentation with the Olympic Development 400m Hurdles, where he collected his second gold watch for that event and his second gold watch this weekend with a time of 51.06. His fellow colleagues of Marqueth Tard 52.40s (2nd.) and Lourias Eugene 53.42s (3rd.).
